How a woman entrepreneur built a Service Management Platform

Bigfix was founded by Mrs. Dhevi, a women entrepreneur, and supported by Mr. Umamaheswaran, a technocrat.

In the year 2009, Mrs. Dhevi signed up for a franchise of Nokia Care in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. Within a short span, she witnessed tremendous demand for professional support in the break-fix support industry, handling over 200+ customers per day in her care center. As a result of her hard work and dedication, she was awarded as one of the best-performing Nokia Care center in India.

Having already understood the market demand for repair and service support, on Nokia's exit from the Indian market, she launched her own brand "Bigfix", a multi-brand repair franchise.

In 2015, Bigfix was formally registered as a startup and focused on digitally transforming the repair services business. By 2018, Bigfix had scaled up to 25 outlets across 10 states in India. To cater to the interest of our franchise partners, Bigfix invested in Cloud Software, Global Branding, Digital Marketing, Service Parts Distribution, and Technician Training Academy. Mrs. Dhevi was awarded "Top 30 women entrepreneur by ASSOCHAM" appreciating the growth of Bigfix.

Bigfix had collaborated with Telecom Sector Skill Council to Identify, Skill, Certify and Employ 1000+ technicians, thereby creating a social impact on the lives of the technicians.

Post-COVID 2021, Bigfix has now curated a network of 4000 service partners consisting of Brand Approved Centers, Bigfix Approved Centers, and TSSC Certified Freelance Technicians. Bigfix now sources work from OEMs, E-Commerce, and Insurance companies (B2B2C) and actively uses technology to execute the orders. Bigfix is currently handling 200+ orders per day and looks forward to scaling up the business.

Bigfix also plans to launch D2C Device Care Marketplace providing nearby technician booking services in 10 major metros across India.

Categories handled by Bigfix are electronic devices, home appliances, medical devices and electrical mobility. Some of their clients include brands like Amazon, ICICI Lombard, OneAssist, GoWarranty and Pluggo.
